Widely variable calcareous to slightly acidic

Even moisture for best performance

Will tolerate dry conditions or temporary flooding after establishment

Cold Tolerance

Cold Hardy to Zone 9 for a. tremula and  8b for a. engleri

Other

Arenga engleri has darker foliage with a denser head than Arenga tremula. Additionally  a. engleri is more cold hardy.
